Cookie policy
Short version: we set essential cookies to keep you signed in, and nothing else. No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no tracking.
Essential cookies we set
When you sign in to TurnUpText, our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) sets session cookies so the app knows who you are between page loads:
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
| sb-* (auth tokens) | Keeps you signed in securely; refreshed automatically while you use the app |
These cookies are strictly necessary (the app cannot work without them), so UK law (PECR) does not require consent for them. They are removed when you sign out and expire on their own after a period of inactivity.
Anti-bot protection on sign-up and sign-in
Our sign-up, sign-in and magic-link pages load Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving check that tells real people apart from automated abuse. It loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com and may set strictly-necessary cookies on that Cloudflare domain to run the check. It is a security control those pages cannot safely work without, so, like the sign-in cookies above, PECR does not require consent for it. We do not use Turnstile for analytics, advertising or tracking you across sites.
What we deliberately don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics cookies.
- No social media pixels or advertising trackers.
- No optional cookies on the public marketing pages. The only third-party script we load anywhere is the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check described above, and only on the sign-up and sign-in pages.
Because we set no optional or advertising cookies, there is no cookie banner, so there is nothing to opt in or out of.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block the essential cookies above you will not be able to stay signed in to TurnUpText, but the public pages will work normally.
For how we handle personal data more broadly, see the privacy policy. Questions: hello@turnuptext.co.uk.
